It would be nice to have details of where the channels.txt file is located So users can back them up.
When I've had the occasional internet problems sometimes the channel file ended up as emptied.
eg on Vista for Radio Times grabber C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\XMLTV GUI\settings\UK_RT\userchannels.txt
